Ultraviolet light weather resistance test
Ultraviolet light weathering test is applicable to the aging test of non-metallic materials against sunlight and artificial light sources. The test simulates the destructive effects of sunlight, moisture and temperature on the material; Material aging includes fading, loss of gloss, reduced strength, cracking, peeling, powdering and oxidation, etc. The ultraviolet light aging test chamber simulates sunlight, condensation and natural moisture. The samples are tested in the simulated environment for several hours or even days, which can reproduce the damage that may occur outdoors for several months or years.
Ultraviolet rays in sunlight are the main factor causing damage to the durability of most materials. We use ultraviolet lamps to simulate the short-wave ultraviolet part of sunlight, which generates very little visible light or infrared spectral energy. We can choose UV lamps of different wavelengths according to different testing requirements, as the total ultraviolet irradiation energy and wavelength of each lamp are different.
In the ultraviolet light weathering test, the fluorescence ultraviolet of the ultraviolet lamp can reproduce the influence of sunlight, while the condensation and water spray systems can reproduce the influence of rain and dew. Throughout the entire test cycle, the temperature is controllable.
